Bovogen Biologicals’ bovine immunoglobulin is purified from bovine plasma or serum using salt precipitation and centrifugation at low temperature to isolate the appropriate fraction. The precipitate is further purified, crystallised, washed, dialysed and filtered prior to freeze-drying.
The final lyophilised product is a crystalline powder that can be rapidly reconstituted in normal saline or PBS to produce a clear solution.
Immunoglobulins have many applications within the life science arena, including cell culture, in-vitro diagnostics, human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, molecular biology, serology and general research. In addition, immunoglobulins are used as immune supplements for the neonatal offspring of domestic animals to help prevent bacterial (mainly pathogenic E.Coli or Salmonella) and viral (rotavirus) scours; decrease postpartum mortality and to achieve higher weight gain at weaning.
Manufactured from the plasma or serum of animals of 100% Australian or New Zealand origin that have undergone veterinary ante- and post-mortem inspection and have been approved for human consumption.
Off-white coloured lyophilized powder.
Applications for bovine Immunoglobulin include:
