Beyond quality and specification, there are additional and significant reasons why Bovogen is now a most valued and sought after serum supplier. These include;
The company’s serum manufacturing operations utilise a fully disposable closed loop system which avoids the possibility of cross contamination of batches and reduces the need for equipment cleaning validation.
Our New Zealand Sterile Foetal Bovine serum is uniquely traceable from farm to the finished product. With our vertically integrated and controlled supply chain from farm gate to collection to processing, Bovogen Biologicals can deliver long-term serum security in terms of material quality control, serum traceability (farm and region) and most importantly its true origin.
Our raw New Zealand serum is now pretested for BVD, which is critical for best practice management of our testing process and batching selection. This process is unique and offers valuable insight to our customers requiring virus status specifics on the high value raw material.
Due to our direct access to raw material supply from ANZCO, Bovogen is able to access large volumes of New Zealand origin blood serum and plasma, providing long term continuity of supply. Bovogen is in a unique position to forward program supply requirements to meet the ongoing quality and volume requirements for our customer partners.
Both New Zealand and Australian serum is recognised as being free from all major epidemic diseases of livestock, including Foot and Mouth Disease, transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE’s) including bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). This status is collectively administered by The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), who are responsible for monitoring the international epidemiology of livestock diseases. New Zealand serum is free from Blue Tongue Virus.
